Do you really believe John Daly was serious about retirement after today's round at the Farmers Insurance Open?  If so, what do you think John will do with his free time?

I think he is as serious about retirement as Brett Favre has been during the past 6 years. I see him hanging up the clubs for a bit and then coming back to make some more money to pay for smokes and his lifestyle. As for what John Daly will do with his time outside of the PGA Tour, I believe John Daly will go to small town tournaments for corporate appearance fees/autographs and be matched up in foursomes with big spenders who want a shot at a real professional golfer.

I am not sure that John Daly can retire.  He took out a second mortgage on his trailer and has 29 years left to pay it off.  Not to mention that cigarette prices continue to rise in many areas of the United States, he would not have any extra cash to go to Mexico and buy them dirt cheap.

My guess is we have a mini-Favre on our hands. He hasn't had near the impact on his sport as Favre did, but let's face it, he can't really afford to be giving up his bread and butter. He may not be th best role model in the world, but I for one commend him for always being brutally honest, even if it's something negative about himself

John Daly is a joke and should have retired many years ago. His act has worn out, comparing him to Brett Favre is also a joke. Brett Favre has shown greatness for nearly 20 years at the toughest position in sports. John Daly is a blemish on the great sport of golf. I wish both players the best in retirement. If they ever retire.

Good players swing at about 70% power. Can you say that about your golf swing. This concept will keep your balance in order, give you enough distance and allow for a consistent golf swing.
