The City of Wilmington's Rock Manor Golf Course - managed by Billy Casper Golf ("BCG") - has opened its renovated, circa-1921, stone-façade clubhouse, the final piece of a major course and property overhaul completed over the past two years.

The Peninsula, in Millsboro, played host to the 43rd Delaware Open. The competition was fierce with 31 professionals and 51 amateurs competing in the 1st and 2nd rounds to make the cut into the final round. 13 professionals and 23 amateurs survived the cut with a score of 155 or below.

The 2008 Junior Girl’s Championship was held at the Brandywine Country Club, in Wilmington, Delaware, July 16th & 17th. Christine Shimel, of DuPont CC, claimed her 4th consecutive Junior Girl’s title against some of the best girl’s in Delaware, with scores of 75-73, 148. This year's event had the most participation that we've seen in recent years; 10 girls competed ranging from 13 years old to 17 years old. Shimel also qualified for the USGA Junior Girl's Championship!
