Nike Golf athlete Suzann Pettersen, of Norway, emerged victorious at the LPGA's CN Canadian Women's Open bringing to 13 the number of global wins by Nike athletes in 2009. Pettersen's victory represents the first win by a Nike Golf athlete on the LPGA Tour in 2009.

At the Monday conclusion to the rain-plagued RBC Canadian Open, Nathan Green (Pro V1) holed a par putt on the second hole of a sudden death playoff to capture his first career PGA TOUR victory. The 34-year-old fired a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish regulation at 18-under 270. He saved par on the first playoff hole and then tapped in for a par and his first win in 112 career PGA TOUR starts. It was fitting that Green's first victory would come in Canada. Green began his professional career on the Canadian Tour and, coincidentally, is a Toronto native (Toronto, Australia).

Australian Katherine Hall secured the 19th spot in the season-ending ADT Championship by winning the CN Canadian Women’s Open --- the final automatic qualifying Winner Event for the ADT Championship. Hull became a Rolex First-Time Winner after carding a 71-65-72-69 for a four-day total of 11-under-par 277, one better than second-place finisher Se Ri Pak.
